Advantages of Living on Campus
One of the many advantages of living on campus is the opportunity of being
close to the University's facilities, in an environment focused
on study and academic pursuits.
It is an opportunity to interact with students from other
cultures and to make new friends.
This experience is also an opportunity to live
independently, in a safe and secure environment, where help
is available should you ever need it.
Furthermore, living on campus allows you to live in a fully
furnished, stunning apartment for 44 weeks of the year, for
little more than it would cost to live in a shared rented
house in a neighbouring suburb.* (Remember that you will save
on transport costs as well!)
*Calculations based on 44 weeks at Lilydale
Student Village, compared with a one year lease @ $110 per
week plus utility bills, furniture and transport in a shared house.
Swinburne University provides many Student Support Services and
information about the Services are available from the Village Manager.
