Debbi Weaver

Senior Learning Designer


Debbi is the Senior Learning Designer (IOBL) for the Faculty of Higher Education Lilydale. Previously, she was a lecturer in eLearning at Monash University, responsible for designing and implementing staff development in online teaching across all campuses. Debbi joined Swinburne in December 2006.

Debbi's background is as a medical researcher at the University of Melbourne, and she has extensive experience in teaching in the medical and health sciences field.

Debbi was recently awarded a 2009 Australian Learning and Teaching Council citation for outstanding contributions to student learning - "For outstanding mentoring of academic teachers, to support reflection, evaluation and the scholarship of teaching, leading to improved outcomes for students."

Outside of work, she is completely obsessed with her garden and her two Labradors.
