Recognition of Prior Learning at the Faculty of Higher Education, Lilydale
Students furthering their studies through higher education often bring with them a range of learning experiences acquired beyond the realm of formal studies. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is about assessing informal learning. On the basis of this assessment, students may receive credit for course entry and/or outcomes requirements and in so doing, reduce the amount of time required to complete their degree.
An RPL Toolkit has been developed to make it easier for both present and prospective students of the Faculty of Higher Education Lilydale (FHEL) to apply for RPL. This toolkit:
- Provides the information needed to identify the learning objectives of a FHEL Degree.
- Clarifies acceptable forms of evidence that can demonstrate how these learning objectives have been met.
- Matches the learning objectives against a student's existing skill set.
