Welcome to the Faculty of Higher Education, Lilydale
The Faculty of Higher Education, Lilydale is the newest and most innovative of Swinburne's Faculties. We offer a range of high quality undergraduate programs in the areas of business, social science and communication. The Faculty consists of 100 academic and administration staff with 2000 on campus students and an additional 2500 students studying the Faculty’s courses online.
Our programs are also delivered through KAPLAN University in Singapore and Swinburne’s Sarawak campus in Malaysia.
A flexible degree structure means that you can tailor your program to suit your personal interests and requirements. We also offer a range of study options, including part-time and online.
Our commitment to giving students a practical learning experience is demonstrated through our students outstanding participation in the Industry-Based Learning program, the highest of any Swinburne Faculty.
International students are an integral part of the Faculty’s culture and many services are provided to support their transition into Australian education and society. A full time staff member is dedicated to the needs of international students while a Language and Learning computer laboratory has been established to assist international students with English language skills.
For those who are looking for a higher degree, we offer a growing number of postgraduate programs from Graduate Certificate through to PhD. The Faculty offers online postgraduate programs in Writing, Commerce, Technology and Psychogical Studies and Business Management offered on campus.
To support our 60 PHD research students we have invested in dedicated facilities and resources to ensure they are able to reach their research goals.
In addition to on campus programs, the Faculty also offers a number of its undergraduate and postgraduate programs through Open Universities Australia (OUA) giving students the flexibility to access our programs from anywhere in Australia.
