LearningLinks offers academic learning support to all Swinburne students (local) to enable them to acquire the skills they need to succeed in their tertiary studies
Language and Academic Skills Advice for International students in Higher Education
The Language and Academic Skills Advisory Service offers free specialist assistance to international students to enable them to acquire the skills that they need to succeed in their tertiary studies in English.
Specialist staff can assist you:
- To understand the requirements of an assignment
- To structure an assignment and develop an argument
- To present a report and make recommendations
- To incorporate sources into an assignment and use referencing
- To enhance your understanding and use of grammar and syntax
- To prepare for oral presentations and practise group discussion skills

The following workshops will be held during semester in the Language and Learning Lab LD 110. The sessions are designed for all students, irrespective of the course you are studying. You do not need to register for the workshops, just turn up.
